Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten moistening time for polished rice and to prevent the unevenness of moistening, by measuring the water content of heated polished rice every time, by making a signal occur when an increase in the water content for a fixed time becomes bigger than a given value.
CONSTITUTION: The water content of polished rice is measured successively as an analog amount by the sensor 29 of water content set in a moistening bath, its output is sent to the A/D converter 28 and transferred as a digital signal to the memory 30 and the comparator 31 at every fixed time decided by the time setting device 33. The adder 35 adds the digital signal before the fixed time memorized by the memory and the allowable increase in water content at the same fixed time from the setting device 34 for water content, and sent the result to the comparator. This value is compared with the value sent from the A/D converter, and, when the output value of the A/D converter is larger, the signal generating device 32 is operated, a pilot lamp is lighted, a blower or the whole moistening device is stopped, etc.
