Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. for waterproof sheets, which has excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, dimensional stability, coatability etc., by mixing polyvinyl chloride, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and an epoxy compd. contg. an arom. ring in the molecule together.
CONSTITUTION: Polyvinyl chloride (A) is mixed with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (B) having an ethylene content of 20W60wt% in such a proportion as to give a weight ratio of component A to component B of 85 to 15W10 to 90. At least one pt.wt. epoxy compd. (C) contg. at least one arom. ring in the molecule [e.g. a novolak type epoxy resin or a bisphenol A type epoxy resin obtd. by the reaction of bisphenol A with epichlorohydrin) is mixed with 100pts.wt. above mixt. to produce the desired compsn. for waterproof sheets.
