Abstract
PURPOSE:To conduct the solar light condensed by parabolas efficiently to a photoconductor cable by using a tapered light guide as an optical coupler. CONSTITUTION:If a light guide having a shape of rotation symmetry wherein the area on incident light side is larger than the area on exit light side, as shown in figure 2, is used as an optical coupler for conducting the solar rays L1-L3 condensed by using parabola reflection mirrors 1, 2 having a commom focus F as shown in figure 1 to a photoconductor cable 4, it results in that the solar rays are efficiently conducted to the cable 4 by repeating internal reflection. If necessary, a reflection intensifying film is applied on the side wall surface of the light guide.
