Abstract

PURPOSE:To copy a required range of an original easily by providing a controllable light source between an image exposure process and a developing process part, and controlling the lighting and lights-off of said light source. CONSTITUTION:A light source 8 is provided between an exposure process part for an electrostatic latent image forming image and a developing process part 10. The light source 8 consists of a light source and a lens. The electric charge on a photoreceptor 7 is erased by the lighr irradiated from the light source 8. Hence, the electrostatic latent image of an arbitrary area is removed by lighting and lights-off of the light source 8.
