Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily remove mercury at low cost by separating waste water to ≥2 of waste water of flue gas washing and other waste water, compounding heavy metal capturing agents in the waste water of flue gas washing, mixing this waste with other waste water, filtering the same and subjecting the same to chelate resin treatment for mercury adsorption.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water discharged from a municipal refuse incineration station is separated to at leat two systems of the waste water of flue gas washing and other waste water. Thence, the pH of the above-described waste water of flue gas washing is controlled to 2W10 and is added with heavy metal capturing agents, after which the above-described other waste water is mixed therewith. Next, it is subjected to flocculating and settling treatment and filtering treatment, after which the mother liquid of filtration is subjected to adsorption treatment by chelate resins for mercury adsorption, whereby the heavy metals in the waste water is removed. It is more practicable to control the pH of only the waste water of flue gas washing in a separate system, to mix the heavy metal capturing agents therewith then to mix the same with the other waste water and to treat the same collectively.
