Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize waste heat efficiently by purifying factory waste water hotter than industrial water and underground water by various processes and by using it as boiler water.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water from factories is supplied from conduit 1 to aggregation-precipitation device 2, where suspended particles are precipitated by flocculation. The supernatant liquid is stored in water tank 6 from trough 4 and then fed to filter 9, which separates and removes suspended floating substances that could not be separated in the said process. The waste water is supplied continuously to activated carbon adsorption devices 11 and 12, where dissolved organisms in the water are removed by adsorption and stored in tank 14. To remove ions, etc., contained in an aggregating agent, this waste water is supplied to positive and negative ion exchange towers 17 and 18, supplied to decarboxylation device 20 if required and then stored in water tank 22. The waste water is purified and qualified high enough for use as boiler water is supplied to boiler 26.
