Abstract

PURPOSE: To present characters or the like on the surface of a sheet by swelling parts of a foaming synthetic resin sheet corresponding to characters or the like engraved on a female die pressing and heating the sheet on the die and then applying ink on said swelled parts.
CONSTITUTION: A desired character (a patten) is engraved on a silicon resin plate having a shallow crepe pattern over the entire surface with the bottom flat to form a female die for patterned molding. A foaming synthetic resin sheet (e.g. vinyl chloride resin foamed sheet whose surface alone is smooth by a non-forming nature) is laid on the female die thus formed. The assembly undergoes a high frequency heating so as to swell the parts of the sheet into concave parts of the female die. (the crepe pattern is formed on the remaining parts). Ink (paint) is applied on the top surface of the swelled parts to present characters or the like.
