Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit simple replacing operation of an original by so constituting a titled device that a press-contacting plate having curling characteristic curling on the side opposite from an original holding surface is used and is automatically curled up when a detaining means at its one end is released. CONSTITUTION:An original 4 is placed in the prescribed positon on contact glass 3. A curved press-contacting plate 2 is unrolled to cover the original 4. When a magnetic body 6 provided in its end part is attracted to a magnet 5, the original is placed in press-contact therewith. Upon ending of exposure or copying, with inputting of a pulse-like signal 10 to a solenoid 7, the magnet 5 detaches from a hole 1a and therefore there is no more attraction force to the magnetic body 6, and the plate 2 is automatically curled by its curling characteristic, thereby permitting the removal of the original 4. Thereafter, the magnet 5 is reset to the home position, that is, into the hole 1a, by a spring 9.
