Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of the steps of a watch by adding or subtracting the step value set in one of two registers to or from the preset step value in the other, and setting the step value with the past step value as a reference. CONSTITUTION:In response to the operation times of switchse SW1 or SW2 in a control circuit 1, the step value N or -N for the gain or delay of the watch is set in a shift registe 4 via an up and down BCD counters 2, a binary converter 3, and the like. Said step value is applied via a complementary device 6, adder 7, and the like. The past step value is added or subtracted in a shift register 5, and the result is latched in a latch circuit 8. A period multiplier 11, to which the step value latched in a circuit 8 is applied, is controlled via a period multiplier 16 which counts a specified number of oscillating pulses from a crystal oscillator 9 and a frequency divider 18. The perid of one second pulse which is outputted from a frequency divider 13 varies in response to the setting, and the step of the watch is readily and securely adjusted based on the new step value established by the reference of the past step value at all times.
