Abstract

PURPOSE: To transport powdery granules under pressure without damaging a container by applying an external pressure matching the internal pressure of the container to the periphery of the container when powdery granules are transported to a nonpressure container while applying pressure.

CONSTITUTION: In case where powdery granules 2, e.g., powdered chemicals, wrapped in a bag 3 of polyethylene, etc., are housed in a nonpressure container, e.g., a fiber drum 1, and then delivered, a metal outer cylinder 6 is provided with a space S on the periphery of the drum 1 and then placed on an inversing base 4. Then the base 4 is lifted and the outwardly folded opening part of the bag 3 is contacted with a conical member 5. Under the condition, the whole of the assembly is inverted, a pressurized gas is supplied from a port A to make up the internal pressure and also an external pressure matching the internal pressure is supplied into the space S from a port A'. Thus, powdery granules can be delivered under pressure through a discharge pipe 8 without causing breakdown to the drum 1.
