Abstract

PURPOSE: A nonsilicon releasing agent for pressure-sensitive tape that is composed of a specific fatty acid-modified alkyd resin, butylated urea-melamine resin and methylated melamine at a specific ratio, thus being inexpensive and showing superior properties other than releasing performance to the silicon agent.
CONSTITUTION: The objective releasing agent is obtained by mixing (A) 40W 90pts.wt. of a 12W18C alkyd resin modified with a fatty acid of 20W70% oil length with 5W40pts. of (B) a butylated urea-melamine resin of 9/1W2/1 urea/melamine molar ratio, 1W4.5 methylolation degree and 0.5W3.5 etherification degree and (C) a methylated melamine resin of 5W6 methylolation degree and 5W6 etherification degree. As a base material for tapes, is used kraft paper laminated with polyethylene or Japanese paper coating with a resin.
