Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit stable oil-feeding even in power failure by arranging the water pressurized oil tank which communicates to a penstock and is pressurized in power failure and allowing oil to be fed into bearings by the lubricating oil which is pressurized and pushed-out by means of water pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A water pressurized oil tank 30 filled with lubricating oil 17 and the penstock 15 which feeds water pressure to a water-wheel 1 and has a control valve 16 bypased to the penstock 14 equipped with a hydraulic valve 13 are installed. In power failure, the hydraulic valve 13 is closed, and the control valve 16 is opened by the signal detected by the pressure switch 20 installed on the oil feeding passage to bearings 3 and 4. The water pressure in the penstock 15 increases the water pressure in the water chamber 19 of the water pressurized oil tank 30 and pushes up the lubricating oil 17, and thus oil feeding to bearings 3 and 4 is performed. Therefore, when the water wheel 1 is capable of rotation, namely in case water pressure exists, the pushing-out pressure due to lubricating oil can be secured, so stable and reliable oil feeding to the bearings 3 and 4 can be provided even in power failure.
