Abstract
PURPOSE:To significantly simplify the constitution of a device for recording multigradations and to reduce a size of the device, by providing timers in the number corresponding to gradations to be recorded and shift registers each for one block in the number corresponding to the gradations and then by controlling a power feeding time. CONSTITUTION:A binary coding circuit 11 outputs binary signals P1, P2, P3 having different thershold levels V1, V2, V3 which are used to convert a gradation image signal into binary coded signals and then supplies those binary signals to data input terminals of shift registers 13, 14, 15, respectively. The shift registers 13, 14, 15 each capable of storing binary signals for one block input the binary signals in accordance with image signal clocks and output the image signals for one block at their output ports O1-On in parallel, respectively. While timers 16, 17, 18 having a preset time periode of t1, t2, t3 are in operation, the shift registers 13, 14, 15 assume an enable state. The timer 16 is started by a timer start signal from a control section 12 and the timers 17, 18 are started when the timers 16, 17 stop their operations, respectively.
