Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a vinyl chloride resin having improved blending properties, by using a specific partially saponified PVA and a water-soluble cellulosic ester as a dispersing agent in polymerizing vinyl chloride monomer to specify the particulate shape.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Vinyl chloride or a monomer consisting of vinyl chloride monomer essentially is polymerized in an aqueous medium by the suspension polymerization method. In the process, (B) a partially saponified PVA having an average polymerization degree of 1,000W2,500 and a saponification degree of 70W 90mol% and a visocisty ≤50cp at 20°C measured by using a 4% aqueous solution thereof and (C) a water-soluble cellulosic ester having a visocity ≤500cp at 20°C measured by using a 2% aqueous solution thereof as a dispersing agent. The amount of the dispersing agent is 0.15W0.03pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component (A), and a surfactant containing nitrogen in an amount of 0.009W0.000009pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component (A) is used.
