Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a temperature-indicating coating composition having excellent workability, and giving a coating film having excellent flexibility, abrasion resistance, transparency, etc., by compounding a cholesteric liquid crystal to a nonyellowing emulsion containing a specific isocyanate prepolymer.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. (solid basis) of a non-yellowing emulsion obtained by dispersing an isocyanate prepolymer derived from a polyol having no unsaturated bond in the skeleton (e.g. polyether polyol) and an isocyanate having no double bond in the skeleton (e.g. hexamethylene diisocyanate) or a mixture of said prepolymer and a diol free from unsaturated bond and havng a molecular weight of ≤200 (e.g. ethylene glycol), in water, with (B) 100W500pts.wt. of at least one cholesteric liquid crystal.
