Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare an adhesive composition which can be applied by casting, coating, etc. and has high adhesive strength, by adding a specific fiber reinforcing material to an unsaturated polyester resin or an epoxy resin.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by mixing (A) 100pts.wt. of an unsaturated polyester resin or an epoxy resin with (B) pref. 5W15pts.wt. of a fiber reinforcing material (e.g. inorganic fiber such as glass fiber, or organic fiber such as vinylon). The average fiber length of the component (B) is pref. about 0.3W1.5mm.
USE: Suitable for the bonding of fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester resin.
