Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a simple-struscure, easily manufactured and light-weight reflecting mirror device by forming a WC layer, whose surface is mirror-finished to desired flatness, on a base body in one body and by forming an optical thin film on the mirror surface. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a base body 10 of Al (alloy), etc., a WC layer 11 whose surface is mirror-finished to desired flatness is formed in one body by some known method. The surface of this layer 11 is used as a reflecting surface, to which an optical thin film consisting of two layers SiO2 layer 13 and TiO2 layer 14, is adhered. Instead of forming the said optical layer, high-purity thin Al film 12 is adhered to the layer 12 if necessary. In this case, the surface of the layer 12 is used as the reflecting surface. This invented reflecting mirror device uses the hard layer 11, so the desired surface precision is obtained easily and the flatness of the thin film 12 is improved, so that a reflected image has no distortion.
