PURPOSE:To perform a normal switching operation without damaging the function of a regular central office trunk, by switching the line side of a pertinent regular central office trunk to a by-pass central office trunk when the disconnection fault by blow of the fuse of a power supply for regular trunk line occurs. CONSTITUTION:When a call signal is transmitted from an office to the like of a COT1, a central control processor detects it and obtains the trunk number of the COT1 and obtains a pertinent slave fuse number on a basis of the trunk number. The central control processor compares the number of the slave fuse number with that of a disconnected fuse A; and if detecting that they do not coincide, the central control processor lights an incoming indication lamp of the B board through a control device of the SP system to transfer the control to a normal incoming processing operation. If they coincide with each other, a by-pass central office trunk PVT is acquired, and line switching relays CNG1 provided correspondingly to lines are selected and operated on a basis of the trunk number of the COT1. As the result, a contact cog1 is operated, and a line #1 is switched to the by-pass central office trunk RVT.
