Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect abnormal state of a transport pipe rapidly, by a method wherein a gap is constituted between the pipe and an anticorrosive layer, a given vacuum degree is held, and variation of the vacuum degree or leakage of substance is detected. CONSTITUTION:A gap 9 constituted between a transport pipe 5 and an anticorrosive layer 6 is held in a given vacuum degree. If the pipe is damaged and a transported substance leaks out of the pipe, variation of the vacuum degree of leakage of fluid is led to detectors 12-14. Variation of the vacuum degree based on damage of the anticorrosive layer 6, impression of abnormal external force, or invasion of external substance is also led to the detectors 12-14. The detectors 12-14 which detect the transported substance and the external substance corresponding to variation of the vacuum degree of the gap generate alarm according to the detected abnormal state and may have a transmitter or a suction device 17 to obtain vacuum state. A connecting box 10 of the detector is connected through a conduit 11 to the detector 12.
