Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the vibrations of ink in a nozzle part so as to stabilize the atomization of the ink, by forming an ink supply pipe located between a filter for ink and a head for jetting ink into a helical shape. CONSTITUTION:Pressurized ink is fed via the filter 8 and the ink feeding pipe 9 to be jetted via a liquid chamber 6 in the head from a nozzle 3. On the other hand, electrostrictive vibrators 4 are energized by a high frequency signal from an external power source to be vibrated so that the ink in the liquid chamber 6 is vibrated, and as the vibration of the ink are propagated to the ink in the nozzle 3, the jetted ink from the nozzle 3 is atomized to become fine ink droplets. In this case, the vibrations of the ink in the liquid chamber 6 will be propagated not only to the nozzle 3 but also to the ink feeding pipe 9, but since the feeding pipe 9 has a helical shape, the vibration would not be propagated to the filter 8. Even if they are propagated thereto, as the reflected vibrations would be absorbed into the ink in the helical feeding pipe 9, the reflected vibration would not interfere the vibrations of the ink in the liquid chamber 6.
