Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a material of bead of light, low fuel consumption and high durability, by a method wherein complex material for bead, whose tension strength and volumetric efficiency of fiber are predetermined values, is formed from beadfiber of predetermined modulus of elasticity, and matrix phase whose hardening modulus of elasticity is predetermined value, too.
CONSTITUTION: The bead fiber 3, formed of organic substance of which modulus of elasticity is above 105kg/cm2, or of high modulus fiber of inorganic substance except metal, and a matrix phase 2, made of liquid resin of thermosetting property or liquid rubber, of which modulus of elasticity after hardened is 50W104kg/cm2, polyether polyurethane for instance, are solidly hadened to form a complex, whose tension stength in the stretched condition at the rate of 1% is to be above 200kg, and whose volumetric efficiency of fiber 3 to the complex is to be 0.2W0.8. With such a complex, the material of bead for pneumatic tire of light, low fuel consumption, and high durability can be obtained.
