Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the durability of a tire, by a method wherein rubber compound, with which specific quantity of carbon black and specific quantity of specific organic micro-short fiber are blended, is used as the coating rubber of a carcass ply
CONSTITUTION: The ply coating rubber, of which 100% modulus is 40W80kg/cm2, can be obtained, by blending 10W100pts.wt. of carbon black, and 3W80pts.wt. of organic micro-short fiber, in which the glass transition point of an amorphous part is lower than 30°C or higher than 120°C, and the melting point of a crystal part is above 160°C, and average length of a short fiber is 0.3W30μm, while the average diameter of a short fiber is 0.02W0.8μm, and the ratio of average length of a short fiber and average diameter of a short fiber is 8W400, to 100pts.wt. of one kind of rubber selected from matural rubber, synthetic polyisoprene rubber, and the like. Next, a tire cord is obtained by binding a number of filament, made of nylon and the like, and by twisting them being embedded into the above-menthioned ply coating rubber. The strength of the tire cord is 45W95kg/piece. The ply, emdedded with the tire cord, and coated with the above-mentioned ply coating rubber, is used for a carcass ply of the tire.
