Abstract

PURPOSE: To crush and close pipings without generating any cracks, by installing a pair of pressure rollers which hold and crush pipings from the top and bottom, and a device making reciprocating work which moves the pressing rollers in the direction of axis of the pipeline.
CONSTITUTION: A device making reciprocating work 3 is firmly contacted with a piping 1 by tightening a clamp 7 after a base 4 of the device 3 is contacted with the piping 1. When the piping 1 is put between pairs of pressing rollers 2 and guide rollers 31 and a motor 5 of the device 3 is driven, the pressing roller 2 and the guide roller 31 make reciprocating motions in the direction of axis of the piping 1. At this time, one end of a reciprocating lever 17 pushes a cam 21 for a fixed time and opens a valve 22 with the cam, and pressurized oil is intermittently supplied to a cylinder 25 for the pressing rollers 2. The pressing rollers 2 gradually crushes the piping 1 for a fixed length and completely closes the inner wall of the piping 1. When the internal pressure of the cylinder 25 becomes higher than a fixed value, supply of the pressurize oil to the cylinder 25 is stopped by the action of a relief valve 19 of a hydraulic tank, and closing work of the piping 1 is completed.
