Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove obstructing pieces solidified in a casting process easily by mounting an air gun to a plunger sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A vertical die casting machine is constituted of upper, lower dies 1, 2, plunger and counter sleeves 3, 4, plunger and counter tips 5, 6 and a charging port 7. Compressed air 11 is fed through a rubber hose 10 to an air gun 9 provided to the sleeve 3 to form air blows 12, by which the solidified pieces 8 remained in the port 7 are blown off and are removed to the outside of the dies.
