PURPOSE:To perform the removal of the moisture and excess mold release agent in dies efficiently and improve quality and productivity by providing communicating paths for blowing air from the outside into the die cavity to the dies and performing air blowing just before charging of molten metal. CONSTITUTION:In a die casting cycle, the leading ends of ejector pins 15 are located just before the pins in a chamber 16 till just before charging of molten metal including the time during die clamping and air is blown through communicating paths 8 into a cavity 3 from the outside. The blown air passes through the cavity 3 inside, and while removing the moisture, etc. stuck on the die surfaces, it is discharged through the inlet 6 of a charging sleeve 4 and the clearances of the die parting lines under die clamping to the outside. At the charging of the molten metal, the pins 15 are inserted into the ejector pin holes 7, and are so located that the leading ends thereof come flush with the inside circumferential surface of the dies 2, thence the paths 8 are closed and the molten metal is packed in the cavity 3.
