Abstract

PURPOSE: To make supplying of the pulses of a short time and large output possible by connecting pulse welding load through a reactor to the output side rectifier circuit of a transformer for supplying pulse output and connecting a base output circuit in parallel thereto.
CONSTITUTION: A rectifier element 16 and a capacitor 18 are connected in series to the secondary side of a transformer 11 for pulse output of a DC electric power source for pulse welding, and the load consisting of an electrode 14, an arc 21, and a welding base metal 15 are connected in parallel to this circuit by means of a controlling element 17, a reactor 19. At the same time, a base output rectifier circuit 13 is provided on the output side of a base transformer 12, and is connected to the welding load via a variable resistor 20. When the output polarity of the pulse transformer 11 is forward with respect to the element 16, the capacitor 18 is charged and when a firing command is applied to the element 17 at an arbitrary time, the charged charge of the capacitor 18 is pulse-discharged through the element 17, the reactor 19 and the arc 21.
