Abstract

PURPOSE: A curable resin capable of rapidly forming fioms excellent in adhesion, flexibility, impact resistance, etc., prepared by reacting, in turn, a monobasic acid, a polybasic acid anhydride and a glycidyl group-containing ethylenically unsaturated compund with a polybutadiene-modified epoxy resin.
CONSTITUTION: A curable resin (polybutadiene-modified unsaturated epoxy ester) is prepared by reacting a polybutadiene-modified epoxy resin (A), prepared by reacting carboxyl group-containing polybutadiene with an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups at an epoxy/carboxyl eq. ratio of 1.8W30/1, with a monobasic acid, e.g., methacrylic acid, at an eq. ratio, carboxyl/epoxy in component A, of 1.8W30, then, with a polybasic acid anhydride, e.g., maleic anhydride, and lastly with a glycidyl group-containing ethylenically unsaturated compound, e.g., glycidyl methacrylate.
