CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is supplied with electric power from a power supply device 20 through a power-source switching controller 21. Similarly, a subordinate computer 2 is supplied with electric power from the power supply device 20 through a power-source switching controller 22. Further, each power-source switching device controls the power-source switching by a command from the computer of the opposite system. Further, the host computer 1 and subordinate computer 2 send a processing start command to the opposite computers mutually. Consequently, a computer load is monitored and when the load decreases, the number of computers in operation is decreased to reduce the power consumption of a computer system.
