Abstract
PURPOSE:To reliably perform the protective performance for subject rectifier by a method wherein a circuit, to be used to lock a bypass pair control when a gate shifting or gate progressing command is received, is provided on the controlled rectifier on which a plurality of unit controlled rectifiers were connected. CONSTITUTION:The unit controlled rectifiers 4.1-4.4 are connected in parallel, power is fed to load and the rectifiers are protected by detecting the current on each rectifier using excessive current detectors 6, 6-1 and the like. At this time, the unit controlled rectifiers 4-1-4-4 are gate-shifted by outputting a gate shifting signals from a protective interlocking circuit 11 using short-circuit load and the like, and while the above process is being performed, a bypass pair signal 51 is outputted when the excessive current detector 6-1 of the controlled rectifier 4-1 is operated, and the gate shifting performance is continued by inhibiting the acceptance of the above output using an inhibit circuit 15. Accordingly, no current is concentrated in one controlled rectifier and a positive protection can be performed using a simple circuit.
