Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of filtration for lubricant oil by a method in which a lubricant oil is gradually heated and filtered and then a reverse pressure of compressed air is applied to the filter in such a way as to lower the viscosity of the lubricant oil and also to remove solid cakes adhered to the filter.
CONSTITUTION: Used lubricant oil from an oil tank 1 is passed through a pipe 5 pressurized by a pump 2 and gradually heated by a heater 3. The heated lubricant oil whose viscosity is lowered is easily passed through a filter 4 and taken out to the outside. The operation of the pump is stopped after a certain house of operation. Then, compressed air is supplied to the filter 4 to push out solid cake adhered to the filter. Thus, by this way of regeneration, the filtering capacity of the filter 4 can be recovered.
