Abstract

PURPOSE: To coat a solventless type coating liquid in a uniform thin film by a method wherein a metal roll and a roll made of a rubber or a resin are placed alternately and a part among the rolls is reciprocated in parallel with an axial direction thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A coating liquid is transferred to a roll 5 in an irregular condition by coating liquid supply rolls 5, 6 and, while uniformly leveled to a roll traverse direction with reciprocal movement in an axial direction of a roll 4, transferred to a roll 7 from the roll 4. Because a roll 3 is made of a metal and a smoothness degree of a surface thereof is made uniform by surface processing, the coating liquid uniformly liveled to a longitudinal and a traverse directions is uniformly transferred toward a roll 2 and can be uniformly coated on a substrate material. All of the metal rolls 6, 3, 1 are equipped with a heating mechanism and a viscosity of the coating liquid is lowered to attain uniform kneading thereof and, thereby, compatibility of the coating liquid against the substrate material a is made well.
