Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to coat a resin on a complicated surface of a solid body by a simple process, by a method wherein a solvent-soluble film is placed on the upper surface of a solvent and, when the solvent has exuded to the upper surface of the film to make the film pasty, a substrate is coated using the pasty film.
CONSTITUTION: On the upper surface of a solvent such as ethyl acetate or toluene, a film of polycarbonate or the like which is soluble in the solvent is placed and is left to stand for a predetermined period of time. When the solvent has exuded to the upper surface of the film to make the film pasty, the substrate to be coated is thrusted into the pasty film from above so as to closely contact the pasty film to the substrate. Alternatively, the substrate may be coated by a method wherein a thin layer of a solvent having a specific gravity of less than 1, for example, benzene, xylene, ethyl acetate or the like is provided on a water surface, then a film soluble in the solvent is placed on the solvent layer and is left to stand for a predetermined period of time, and after the solvent has exuded to the upper surface of the film make the film pasty, the substrate is thrusted into the pasty film from above.
