Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a core line of optical fiber having fire resistance and heat resistance without damaging an elemental line at all, by forming an elemental line of optical fiber covered with metal with a heat insulating material sandwiched by them, wherein the layers of tapes of the heat insulating material and the metal cover are attached to the line tightly.
CONSTITUTION: The elemental line 1 of optical fiber obtained by subjecting a glass fiber to the first coating of a silicone resin and to the second coating of nylon is unwound.
