Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a heat exchanger that does not cause a gap between a heat collecting pipe and a heat collecting plate even for long usage by surely and firmly holding and pressing the whole circumferential part of the heat collecting pipe to the curved part of the heat collecting plate by clamping action of flanges projected to the inside on the edge of both openings of a groove of a female die.
CONSTITUTION: A curved part 21 for fitting a heat collecting pipe 22 provided on a heat collecting plate is fitted in a groove 13 of a female die 11 that has flanges 15 projecting to the inside of side edges of two openings. Next, a part of heat collecting plate 20 apart from the curved part 21 on both sides of the groove 13 is fastened to the female die 11 with jigs 25, 25. Under this condition, the basal end part 26 of the curved part 21 is protruded from the groove 13. At the same time, the heat collecting pipe 22 is fitted in the curved part 21. Then, the basal end part 26, a flat part of the heat collecting plate near the basal end part 26 and the heat collecting pipe 22 are pressed by a male die 30. Consequently, the heat collecting plate 20 is deformed so that the two basal end parts come close to each other. At the same time, the curved part 21 is pressed to the tip 17 of the flange 15, and the curved part 21 and heat collecting pipe 22 are deformed to come near to the flange 15 with in the groove 13. Thus, the objective heat exchanger is manufactured.
