NEW MATERIAL:A compond shown by the formulaI[Ar is aryl; R is CH3 or C2H5; Y is O or Si; B is group shown by the formula II or III (Z is O, S, carbonyl, or methylene; R1 is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy; n is 1W5); with the proviso that a compound shown by the formula IV (R2 is halogen or alkyl; m is 1 or 2) is excluded].
EXAMPLE: 3-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)benzyl-2-(4-methyphenyl)-2-methyl-propylether.
USE: An insecticide and an acarcide. Having improved immediate effect and prolonged effect, and low toxicity to men, beasts, and fishes.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula V is reacted with a compound shown by the formula B-CH2-D[one of A and D is halogen and the other is Y-M (Y is O or S; M is H, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal or both A and D are OH], to give a compound shown by the formulaI.
