Abstract
PURPOSE: A corrosion-resistant coating compound composition useful for large-sized steel stocks, capable of forming a tough film having improved corrosion resistance on the surface of a metal, obtained by blending a resin composition with finely divided flat powder of plastic.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. resin composition of a mixture of an epoxy resin or unsaturated polyester resin and a curing agent is blended with (B) preferably 10W 80pts.wt. finely divided flat powder of plastic, to give the desired composition. 100pts.wt. component A may be blended with preferably 10W60pts.wt. component B, and (C) preferably 10W100pts.wt. corrosion-resistant pigment (preferably flat metal powder). The average thickness and the average length of the component B are preferably 1W20μ and 5W500μ respectively.
