Abstract

PURPOSE: A defrosting composition having improved surface hardness and durability, comprising PVA, finely divided silica powder, a specific organosilicon compound, and an aluminum chelate compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. polyvinyl alcohol is blended with (B) 65W150pts.wt. finely divided silica powder having an average particle diameter of 5W200mμ, (C) 1W20pts.wt. organosilicon compound shown by the formulaI[R1 is 1W8C (alkoxy) alkyl group, acryl group; a is 0 or 1], and (D) 0.1W10pts.wt. aluminum chelate compound shown by the formula II[X is lower alkoxy group; Y is M1COCH2COM2, M3COCH2COOM4 (M1WM4 are lower alkyl); n is 0, 1, 2 ]to give the desired composition.
