Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a colored film color-coded to ≥2 kinds of different color tones by electrolytically treating the Al (alloy) subjected beforehand to anodic oxidation treatment by using an auxiliary electrode of the same pole as that of the work other than a counter electrode then subjecting the same to ordinary electrolytic coloring treatment.
CONSTITUTION: The Al (alloy) subjected beforehand to anodic oxidation treatment is electrolytically treated in an electrolyte soln. installed therein with an auxiliary electrode consisting of a conductive material of the same pole as that of the work other than a counter electrode by DC (anode), AC, or the current superposed with AC and DC or current of the waveform showing the effect similar to that thereof. Thereby, a difference in current distribution is produced in the surface of the work in accordance with the varying distances from the auxiliary electrode, and therefore the films of different electric resistance in accordance with current distributions are formed. Next, if electrolytic coloring treatment is applied in an aq. soln. contg. salt or acid of metal, the colored film having irregular coloring is formed. If coloring treatment is performed in a separate bath after this, the colored film color-coded to ≥2 colors at different tones is obtained.
