Abstract
PURPOSE: To form colored films of diversified color tones by subjecting aluminum to anodic oxidation film treatment, then subjecting the same as it is to AC conduction treatment then to AC conduction in an aqueous metallic salt soln.
CONSTITUTION: The aluminum or aluminum alloy formed with an anodic oxidation film is subjected to AC electricity conduction treatment or pulse wave conduction treatment in the electrolyte used for the formation of the anodic oxidation film. Thence, it is subjected to AC electrolytic coloring by an aqueous soln. contg. metallic salts, for example, an aqueous tin-nickel soln. Thus the color tones of green, gray and purple types in the metallic salt soln. of tin-nickel type by which only the bronze or black system could have been obtained in the prior art are obtained.
