Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the casting and working easier by integrally forming a water holding tank and a discharge pipe to provide a priming port utilizing a hole for the casting of the discharge pipe at the top of the discharge pipe, and to prevent the flow of the priming water into the discharge pipe by providing a priming water guide.
CONSTITUTION: A discharge pipe 3 and a water holding tank 1 of the pump body are integrally formed by casting. A hole at the top of the discharge pipe 3 in the water holding tank 1 and positioned in alignment with the vertical direction of the discharge pipe 3, which is a hole made for the core support of the discharge pipe 3 and for pulling out said core at the time of casting, is made as a priming port 4 thereby simplifying the casting and working. The flow of the priming water into the discharge pipe 3 and a pressure tank 2 is prevented by fitting a priming water guide 5 which is pipe shaped with a bottom and having an opening 6 on its wall.
