Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the weatherability of a decorative molding to be used for the side of an automobile by laminating a film of polymethyl methacrylate group on a synthetic resin extrusion for decorative molding while it is still hot.
CONSTITUTION: When a decorative molding which is substantially made of a synthetic resin such as PVC, ABS, etc. is formed by extrusion, a film substantially made of polymethyl methacrylate (preferably more than 10μ in thickness) is laminated, with an adhesive used if necessary, on a decorative molding while its resin is still molten or hot immediately after extrusion to obtain an intended decorative molding.
