Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the installation space eliminating surrounding projections owing to piping work by enabling the erected connection of a water feed pipe and a hot water feed pipe through the communication of the two pipes with an inclined wall section at the top of a can body.
CONSTITUTION: A can body comprises an inner shell 2 and an outer shell 11 with a hot water storage tank 3 formed inside. A slant wall section composed of expansion pipe sections 4 inclined down from the outer shell 1 to the inner shell 2 is provided at the top of the can body, and the lower ends of a water feed pipe 6 and a hot water feed pipe 7 are connected to the upper part of the slant wall section in such a manner as to be communicated into said hot water storage tank 3. This enables the erection of the two pipes 6 and 7 thereby eliminating projection thereof on the side from the can body. Thus, the formation of lugs or the like can be prevented in the perimeter of the water heater in a piping work or the like.
