Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesion of an insulating layer obtd. by setting a photosetting resin on a photoconductive layer to the photoconductive layer and to also enhance the machanical durability by roughening the surface of the photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:When an insulating layer is formed on the surface of a receptor using an org. photoconductor by setting a photosetting resin, the surface of the photoconductive layer is roughened. As a result, the contact area between the photoconductive layer and the resin is increased, and the resin enters the small parts to attain higher adhesion. The roughening is carried out by a method of spraying a solvent dissoving the photoconductive layer on the surface of the layer, a method of obtaining a roughened photoconductive layer by forming the layer by spray coating, or other method. For example, methyl ethyl ketone is sprayed on a photoconductive layer obtd. by dispersing alpha type copper phthalocyanine pigment in phenol resin, and an insulating layer of polyester acrylate resin is formed on the surface of the photoconductive layer.
