Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which can be driven by low electric power, is less in heat generation and is suitable for recording a digital signal, by forming a permanent magnet material on both sides of a substrate by a thin film deposition method, and forming a magnetic thin film and a conductor on the permanent magnet material positioned at the back gap side, by the thin film deposition method. CONSTITUTION:On both sides of a substrate 10, the first and second permanent magnet materials 11, 12 are formed, those magnetic materials consists of Ba-ferrite, CrO2, etc., are formed by a thin film deposition method, and are opposite in polarity. On the outside of the second permanent magnet material 12, an insulating layer 13 consisting of SiO2, etc. is formed, and on its outside, a lower magnetic layer 16 is formed, and also on its outside, a conductor 15 and an uppr magnetic layer 15 are formed. After the upper magnetic layer 16 has been formed in this way, protective plates 18, 19 are made to adhere to both the outside of the first magnet material 11 and the outside of the upper magnetic layer 16, through an adhesive agent 17 such as epoxy compound resin.
