Abstract
PURPOSE: To hold a PU arm moved to a record position at a correct position, by servo-controlling a PU driving motor by an output of a position detecting means of the PU arm.
CONSTITUTION: A position detecting means 10 generates an output signal which is varied in accordance with a turning position of a horizontal turning shaft 11 for supporting a PU arm 12. That is to say, in accordance with size of a record, a sensor plate 13 having three slits is provided. When the turning shaft 11 is turned by a driving motor 70, the output of the detecting means 10 is amplified 20, and after that, is detected by a level detecting circuit 30. A level of this detecting signal is compared with a prescribed level by a motor driving circuit 60 in accordance with the record size information from an operation part 50. In accordance with its result, the driving circuit 60 servo-controls the driving motor 70. In this way, the PU arm which has moved up to the record position is held at a correct position without shifting its position.
