Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electron gun having no axial shift by inserting a ceramic rod into a coupling hole formed at the circumferences of the first and second grid electrodes then integrating both electrodes with predetermined interval and bead welding them to an electrode supporting structure. CONSTITUTION:A thin hole board 7 having micro-hole 8 is fitted in a recess 12 in one chip 11 of a second electrode 4 then it is pressed by the other chip 13 and the three parts are integrated. Then a plurality of coupling holes 14, 14' are formed at the circumferences of one chip 11 of the second grid electrode 4 and the first grid electrode 2, thereafter ceramic rods 15 are inserted respectively into each coupling hole to assemble the brazing members 16, 16' and to integrate them. Then a cylinder 20 is welded to the cathode side of the first grid electrode 2 and the cathode 22 is fixed in said cylinder 20 through an insulative supporting structure 21. Thereafter a supporting structure 23 is fixed to the first grid electrode 2 and bead welded to a supporting member 26. Consequently an electron gun having no axial shift can be obtaned.
