Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain plastic grindstone having superior surface smoothness and hardness easily by adding powdery abrasive material and adhesive agents on a nuclear matter flowing in a granulator and growing these to the sizes of balls.
CONSTITUTION: A nuclear matter consisting of, for example, various metallic materials, silica, alumina or synthetic resins is charged into a granulator and is flowed. Next, abrasive materials (100 mesh pass) such as, for example, carborundum, calcium carbonate or alumina and adhesive agents of synthetic resins are supplied to this, and these are carefully granulated and grown to the sizes of balls. The ball-like grindstone permits arbitrary selection of sizes and specific gravities and the one of uniform strength is obtained.
