Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The objective soil improving agent is prepared by compounding (A) 30W50pts.(wt.) of an alkali silicate pref. having an SiO2/Na2O ratio of 3.0W 3.3, (B) 3W16pts. of a water-soluble aldehyde such as glyoxal, and (C) 2W7pts. of a bisulfate such as sodium bisulfate. The improving agent is pref. used in the form of an aqueous solution, and is concentration is usually 35W65%.
USE: The agent is applied for increasing the strength and bearing power of various kinds of ground, reducing the water permeability, and filling the cracks of ground or bedrock.
