Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform good infiltration and soldering for an iron-based sintered part and a superhard alloy part in the same process by a method in which the sealing treatment of the iron-based sintered parts with a Cu-based infiltration material and the bonding of the sintered parts and the superhard alloy part by using a Cu-based braizing having a higher melting point than the infiltration material are concurrently performed.
CONSTITUTION: A superhard alloy part 1 is placed on a base 4, an iron-based sintered part 2 is placed through an infiltration material piece 32 on the part 1, and then an infiltration material piece 31 is placed on the parts 2. In this case, the infiltration material piece 31 having a lower melting point than that of the infiltration material piece 32 is used. And, they are infiltrated and braized at a given temperature in a furnace of an inert gas, whereupon the infiltration material piece 31 is first melted and imbibed into the inside voids of the part 2 until filled up and then the infiltration material piece 32 is melted. Since, even when part of the infiltration material piece 32 is absorbed in to the part 2, its most part takes part in braizing action in interface between the part 1 and the part 2, good infiltration and good braizing property can be attained.
