Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the process of issuing notes and, in addition, to issue notes with the same functions as those of seal notes by a method wherein printing and magnetic recording are conducted, using a card supplied with a plastic resin film one side of which is provided with a magnetic recording layer, and the other side with printing recording layer.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic card 1 is formed in such a way that a magnetic recording layer 1a, a plastic layer 1b containing a white pigment and a surface 1c for printing and recording with sublimating ink are piled on the card. The card 1 drawn out of a hopper 10 is transferred so that the upper side is the one having the surface 1c for printing and recording, while lower side is the one having the magnetic recording layer 1a. The card is printed with ink 2 containing a sublimating pigment by an ink jet printer 19 in a printing portion 4. Then the card is treated with fixation in a fixing portion 25 under a flash lamp 28. Next, magnetic recording is made in the lower magnetic recording layer 1c by a writing head 32 in a magnetic recording portion 30.
